Founder's Story

Ambassador Chief Nkechi Uzoegwu is a compassionate advocate and Founder dedicated to protecting and empowering vulnerable communities. Deeply committed to youth development, social justice, and community transformation, she leads initiatives that create safer environments and sustainable opportunities for growth.

Driven by a passion for service, she continues to champion peacebuilding and empowerment programs locally and internationally, serving as a respected ambassador of peace and a voice for positive change.

The YETI Youth Empowerment Foundation was born from profound experiences growing up in Mushin, Lagos. I witnessed firsthand the challenges facing young people in underserved communities: brilliant minds with untapped potential, limited by lack of resources, mentorship, and opportunity.

Through broader engagement and exposure, it became clear these challenges weren't isolated to Lagos but were systemic issues affecting youth globally.

Driven by knowledge, passion, and commitment to social impact, I founded YETI Foundation to empower youth by equipping them with essential tools, resources, and support networks.

“Youth represent the future of society. Investing strategically in their development today shapes the trajectory of their lives and the world tomorrow.”
